THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF VALENTINO PARK
![]() In Turin you can feel the sensation of living in the 5th century. By just diving into the green of Valentino park with its 500,000 square metres, walking along the banks of river Po, observing the thousand colours of the hill, you will suddenly be cast into the Middle Ages. The Medieval Village was designed by a group of artists and intellectuals coordinated by Alfredo D’Andrade, and built on the occasion f the Italian General Exposition in 1884.
The look, the structure, the finishes and the decorations of the
Village are a scrupulous reconstruction of 5th century buildings
of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. Inside you can see the
reconstructions of various craft workshops, the Pomegranate
fountain ("Fontana del Melograno") and the castle of the lord, similar to Fenis castle.
